Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has a convenient location right off the Trans Canada Highway, making it a perfect stop during my travels across Newfoundland. However, the overall condition of the rooms feels very outdated and there are accessibility challenges due to the lack of an elevator. Service was a mixed bag; some staff were friendly, but the limited assistance at times was a downside. On a positive note, the on-site restaurant offered decent meals, which added some value to the stay.
My stay was quite disappointing. The hotel felt old and needed serious upgrades, with rooms that were not only small but also smelly. Check-in was a nightmare, with terrible service from the front desk staff. The only slight positive was the friendliness of the cleaning staff. Overall, this place charged way too much for what we got, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
The hotel has some welcoming staff and adequate dining options, but it is severely lacking in cleanliness and modern amenities. While the room was large and spacious, the dated decor and cleanliness issues made for a less than ideal stay. The efficiency units were not managed well, though the restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices. Overall, it feels like the property needs significant updates and care.
My stay at the Mount Peyton was mixed. The hotel is quite dated and in need of some updates, particularly in the rooms and bathrooms. While the overall experience had some positives, such as the lobby's pleasant atmosphere, the issues with the specific rooms we were in, particularly the smoke smell and maintenance problems, were significant drawbacks. The prices felt a bit high for what we received, especially since this place claims to be the top choice in town.
